These birds are Golden Crested Kinglet type birds, but are larger than these usually are. They are metallic with both some silver and copper luster, but the closer you get to the ground parts of the bird the more of the underlying beautiful mosaic pattern shines through.
The head is clear with some bluish striation.
The design is by famous professor Oiva Toikka.
To show the considerable size difference between these birds and the Golden Crested Kinglets we have on the last two pictures placed these two together with two of our Golden Crested Kinglets (E. and F.).
All four almost look like they belonged together.
