"Species of Tern" is an impressive seabird. This was among the first designs with a split tail by Oiva Toikka. It was produced in a numbered series from year 1988-1992. In Finnish this bird is called Räyskä, which means Caspian tern in Finnish, which actually is the species of tern that this glassbird closely resembles.
The bird was made in Finland in legendary Nuutajärvi glass village. The design has a matte surface.
This individual is born with a slightly uneven length of the two parts of the tail. It is numbered E 1305/3000. We do not know what E stands for. Maybe an extended edition of the popular bird?
We have two individuals of these at the moment. On the last pictures you see both of these together. The other one is numbered 2953/3000. This has a mended lower branch of its tail.
On the very last picture Räyskä E 1305 is together with our unnumbered Female Tern.
