This is the Small Bird commissioned for University of Technology - Teknillinen Korkeakoulu (today Aalto University).
The bird is presented on page 59 in the new book "Toikka's Glass Birds", and also on page 159 together with all the other birds for the University of Technology.
A ruby red bird with metallic lustred filigree decorations and clear head.
Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka in year 1990.
These birds were hand made at the legendary glass factory in Nuutajärvi in Finland.
This particular individual has a slight assymmetry in the placement of the typical feather pattern on each side. Best seen on the views from above.
The bird is unsigned, and its price is reduced.
A very nice bird for someone who is not disturbed by the slight assymmetry.
