This is a special cube designed by Oiva Toikka for Unicef Finland.
Only 200 pieces were made, and the cubes are numbered.
The design with the delicate nuances of blue surrounded by clear glass, symbolizes water and the ongoing project that Unicef Finland had started in 1986 in Tsad, in Middle Afrika, to assist villagers there. The project had namely started with assisting in building new wells in order to ensure the availability of clean water before other development assistance could take place.
This valuable cube was sold by Unicef Finland to raise money for continuing projects like that one.
