A very neat and cute and also fun Baby Scaup Duck.
The Scaup Ducks were designed for Digital Equipment Corporation in the 80's by Professor Oiva Toikka, Nuutajärvi.
There are Scaup Ducks for Digital in three sizes:
All have a more or less lustred surface on a forest colored body but with a clearly demarkated area in the front part of the breast that is of different color than the rest of the bird, and is not metallic at all. The heads of these birds are in clear glass, some with some bluish features.
The big ones are of about the size of a Smew or an Eider.
The medium sized Scaup Ducks for Digital are roughly about 140 x 75mm.
The Baby Scaup Ducks are tiny. This one for instance is 110 x 57 mm.
This has a silvery surface with a marbled grass green breast. The head is clear.
The silvery surface tends to mirror everything around the bird.
You can see from our photos how difficult it is to capture one single correct picture of what this bird looks like! In real life it is easier for the human eye to figure out the features of the bird and get a correct impression of it.
A fun little bird to have.
