The design of this pottery is by Richard Lindh and the decorations in these were produced by the technique that Friedl Holzer-Kjellberg had developed for Arabia fourty years earlier. This pottery combines in a very fresh way modern design with very delicate structures and ancient decoration ideas.

The vase is 17,5cm tall and 10,5cm wide.
When filled up to the edges it holds about 11,5dl water.

The bowl is 9cm high and 15cm wide.
It holds also ca 11,5dl water when filled up to the edges.

Check also out the other items in this series that we have for sale elsewhere on this site. There are six coffe cups of the very same series and also a small 2dl jar for sugar or cream in exactly the same design and a tea light holder.

Most of our vintage rice porcelain items are, like these from the eighties and have the blue stamp with the ARABIA crown and ARABIA FINLAND written out on the underside.

Last but not least we also have two small bowls marked ARABIA -F.H.Kj- MADE IN FINLAND and these are mid century ones!
F.H.Kj stands for Friedl Holzer-Kjellberg, the woman that in the 40s at Arabia developed the methods for serial production of the rice-porcelain-type decorations and she designed the decoration patterns for these older bowls. So these two bowls were made at Arabia already in the mid century.
These are for sale elsewhere on this site.
