Six delicate and stylish white rice porcelain coffee cups in excellent condition from the eighties.
Height of the cup is 7cm and the diameter is 6,5cm. It holds 1,5dl when filled up to the edges. The saucer is ca 13,5cm in diameter.
The design of this pottery is by Richard Lindh and the decorations in these were produced by the popular technique that Friedl Holzer-Kjellberg had used fourty years earlier at Arabia. This pottery represents a very fresh combination of modern design and very delicate structures.
The price is for all six coffe cups together.
Check also out the other items in this series that we have for sale elsewhere on this site. There is a vase (11,5 dl), a bowl (11,5 dl) and a small 2dl jar for sugar or cream in exactly the same design.
Most of our vintage rice porcelain items are, like these coffee cups, from the eighties and have the blue stamp with the ARABIA crown and ARABIA FINLAND written out on the underside. The small bowl decorated with circular holes is designed to be used as a tea light holder.
There are also two small bowls marked ARABIA -F.H.Kj- MADE IN FINLAND and these are mid century ones! F.H.Kj stands for Friedl Holzer-Kjellberg, the woman that in the 40s developed for Arabia the methods for serial production of the rice-porcelain-type decorations and designed the decoration patterns for these older bowls.
