This is a silvery Pheasant, designed by famous Professor Oiva Toikka. It was hand blown at legendary Nuutajärvi glass Factory in Finland.
This individual is interesting because it is engraved for Postipankki.
Postipankki was a government owned bank in Finland from year 1887 to 1998, then its name changed to Leonia pankki.
The Pheasant birds are presented on page 20 and on page 350 in the new book "Toikan Lasilinnut-Toikka's Glass Birds".
The Pheasants are red inside, but over the years the outside colors on these birds have varied a lot, as has also the profile of these birds.
