A selection of Pheasants by famous Professor Oiva Toikka. These very clearly show the huge variation in shape and colors that these birds have had over the years. This bird is Fasaani in Finnish.
The Pheasant was first introduced in 1981 and the production continued until 2015, almost 35 years. The Pheasants are red inside, but have variable colors on top of that. The early versions are usually more round in shape. And the signature on the earliest ones contain both Nuutajärvi and Notsjö.
We now have three pheasants for sale all from different periods.
The first two (A and B) are of older production and the one in original box (the blue one) with a strong blue lustre is of a quite new edition.
A. is more silvery (size 195x145mm) and is signed Oiva Toikka Nuutajärvi Notsjö, all in handwriting, and it bears a silver Nuutajärvi sticker. It is silvery lustred and very round in shape.
B. is mainly green (size 243x155mm) and is signed O. Toikka Nuutajärvi in handwriting, and bears a plastic Nuutajärvi sticker.
The blue one in Box has a strong blue-green appearance and bears a sand etched O. Toikka Nuutajävi signature and an Iittala sticker. Also this bird is red inside.
When you click on one of the letters under the heading a picture of that bird appears uppermost and its price is seen under the heading, and then that particular bird can be added to the cart.
