Lucent blue Mid Century vase / bottle, designed by Nanny Still and produced by Riihimäen Lasi Oy, Finland.
The slim Nanny Still vases come in a wide spectrum of beautiful colours with and delicate shades. Each vase is hand made and as such usually has some individual features. All vases are old and more or less used.
This pretty light blue vase has very little signs of wear. There are two very thin elognated air bubbles within the glass in the neck region, that have arisen during the process of blowing the glass bottle and stretching its neck. These are visible as two 1,5cm stripes. These do not most of the time stand out, but we enhanced the visibility with special light conditions in one of the photos so you can see them abnormally well. Most of the time they give an impression of a normal swirl arisen in the floating glass while making the item.
The last few pictures provide opportunity to compare the colour of this blue vase to a couple of other of our vases.
