Nanny Still designed a group of Meripihka items for Riihimäen Lasi in 1953. The items were in production for 3-4 years.
The series contain seven different amber colored items of different shapes.
The yellow glass items are made matt by sandblasting and oxidizing with acids. The result is a velvet like surface that cannot be seen through.
We now have three different pieces for sale. Each item is sold separately. The drop has two small areas in the lower part of the backside of the drop that have remained clear in the processing of the surface. Study the pictures. The lower area is hardly visible when the item is standing normally. The drop is unsigned, but it is such a cheerful design that it deserves its place as part of a group of these anyway.
When you click on the name of one of the items a picture of that very item appears uppermost and its price is seen under the heading. Now that particular item can be added to the cart.
