A large sized White Dove made for Fyrklövern, (a Swedish table ware and utility glass store, Apilanlehti in Finnish). The design is by famous professor Oiva Toikka and the bird is hand made in legendary Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland in 2003. This is a rare bird model that seldom is seen for sale anywhere. It is presented in the new book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glass Birds" on page 121.
This individual is unsigned and the body has a matted finish. It has some air bubbless within the right wing, well under the surface.
It is an impressive, large sized white dove of white opaque glass and with sky blue wing areas. The head is blue and the beak is bright red, both of these are in clear glass.
Last we show a picture with also other large sized Toikka birds. This gives an oppotunity for size comparison.
