Kerttu Nurminen (1943- ) designed in glass at Nuutajärvi and in ceramics for Arabia. These "Runon mailla" (-'at the lands of poetry') Wall Plates represent nostalgic views from the Finnish countryside, and each of them have a short poem in Finnish written on the back.
We have the three different items of this series now for sale: The Main building, the Sauna and the Shed.
The poem on the backside of this Main building -wall plate dribbles with the thought of who could be living in this house:
"... pappi, lukkari,
talonpoika
kuppari,
rikas, rakas,
missä asuu kylän paras..."
These were in production in the 90s at Arabia.
