Afro-American designer and graphic artist Howard Smith (1928-2021) was born in New Jersey, USA. He moved to Finland in 1962 and since then worked as a designer in Finland and was married to a Finnish ceramic artist, Erna Aaltonen.
The bird -collection by Howard Smith was in production at Arabia factory in the 90:s. The collection contains various kinds of birds.
This yellow parrot like bird is named "Paula" and the green one is "Paavo".
The birds are 15cm high and 24cm long.
The weight is around 0,5kg each.
Paula is in Very Good condition with minor signs of ageing in the surface structure of the faience. Paavo is in an excellent condition.
Paula and Paavo are sold separately and have different prices.
