These two Golden-Crested Kinglet birds by Oiva Toikka are very special, based on the signature style these were probably made in the 1980s. Both have part of the clear body covered with foamy pigment. The blue one is partly also covered with some metallic luster. It has a large area over the back and left shoulder without pigment, but it is hard to comprehend from the pictures as the opposite side shines through. The brown one has three areas radiating from the base of the neck without pigment and a large area on the underside without pigment.
These special Golden-Crested Kinglets clearly belong together and are sold as a pair, so the price is for both together.
They are hand made at Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland, and are signed Oiva Toikka Nuutajärvi Notsjö.
