This is a Firebird from the Birds of Passage collection from the -90s.
Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka and hand made in Nuutajärvi Finland.
The Firebird was in production 1991-1995. The appearance varies among these. This individual has metallic lustered decorations, while others have green, or black lustered decorations.
In the book "In Oiva's Wonderland" on page 76.
On the last pictures it is together with a friend from the same series, the Northern Duck. And in the group photo this bird poses together with a bunch of other Firebirds. As you can see there is a huge variation within the Firebird species when it comes to head color and the tone of the red. This bird is in the center in that picture.
