Cucunor is the Annual Bird for year 2008. "Viiriäinen" in Finnish (=Quail actually).
It is described in the new book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka' Glass Birds" on page 151.
This beautiful Cucunor has mainly brown- and copper-rose tones.
Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka and hand made in Finland in the legendary glass blowers village of Nuutajärvi.
The last picture shows this bird together with its egg in corresponding colors.
