Saara Hopea (1924-1984) was a Finnish glass designer at Nuutajärvi glass factory in the 50-s. She was awarded with silver medal twice at the Milan Triennales (1954 and 1957) for her glass design.
The "Näppylä" series by Saara Hopea in the -70s, included vases and bowls in several shapes and colors. This decorative turquoise vase is 18cm high and ca 8cm in diameter. The bumps in these are smooth, although they in the first picture might seem rough because they mirrored each other. There is some normal wear at the bottom of the vase, see close up view. Overall impression of this vase is definitely Very Good.
