Cucunor is the Annual Bird for year 2008. "Viiriäinen" in Finnish (=Quail actually).
It is described in the new book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glass Birds" on page 151. This beautiful Cucunor has brushstroke like decorations in many colors, mainly in bronze luster or beige on the white body. The head is in transparent gray.
Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka and hand made in Finland in the legendary glass blowers village of Nuutajärvi.
