This is a handsome individual of the "Species of Tern", a Caspian Tern.
"Species of Tern" was among the first designs with a split tail by Oiva Toikka. These birds were produced in a numbered series from year 1988-1992.
In Finnish this bird is called Räyskä, which is the Finnish name for Caspian tern.
The bird was hand blown in Finland in the legendary Nuutajärvi glass hut. The design has a matte surface and this impressive individual measures no less than 35cm from beak to tail.
