This is a handsome good sized individual of the "Species of Tern", a Caspian Tern, with nice feathers and attitude.
"Caspian Tern" was among the first designs with a split tail by Oiva Toikka. It was produced as a numbered series in years 1988-1992.
In Finnish this bird is called Räyskä, which is the Finnish name for Caspian tern.
You find this model on page 40 in the book "Toikan Lasilinnut-Toikka's Glass Birds".
The bird was made in Finland in the legendary Nuutajärvi glass factory. These have a matte surface on the body, and the head is shiny black.
