This 1,2l jug of the beautiful Apila series designed by Birger Kaipiainen for Arabia in 1969. It is 12,8cm high, and is in a very good condition except for a couple of fleabites / small chips at the lower border.
Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) is one of the most successful and well known ceramic artists in Finland. The Apila table ware set delicately decorated with cloverleaves and white cloverflowers was in production and sold by Arabia in the early seventies, but this piece was produced in August the year before the launch of this series. Pieces of this fresh looking table ware set are very sought for today.
In the last pictures you see this item together with other items of ours of this series.
