This lid fits both the small and medium sized bowls of the Apila table ware set from the early 70s.
The small Apila bowl holds ca 1 l and is 16,5 x 15 x 7 cm, and the medium sized bowl holds ca 1,6 l and is 16,5 x 15 x 11 cm.
This lid is ca 16,6 x 15cm, and is in a Very Good, almost unused condition.
Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) is one of the most successful and well known ceramic artists in Finland. The summer fresh Apila table ware set was in production in 1970-1971 only, and pieces of this set are very sought for. For someone who accidentally lost the lid of one bowl this piece can be a lucky find!
