This lid fits both the small (7cm high) and medium sized (11cm high) bowl of the Apila table ware set from the early 70s.
The small Apila bowl holds ca 1 l and is 16,5 x 15 x 7 cm, and the medium sized bowl holds ca 1,6 l and is 16,5 x 15 x 11 cm.
This lid is ca 16,6 x 15cm, and is in a Very Good, almost unused condition.
Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) is one of the most successful and well known ceramic artists in Finland. The summer fresh Apila table ware set was in production only for a couple of years in the early 70s, and pieces of this set are very sought for today. For someone who accidentally lost the lid of the bowl this piece can be a lucky find!
