2,5dl tea cups with saucer of the beautiful Apila series designed by Birger Kaipiainen 1969.
Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) is one of the most successful and well known ceramic artists in Finland. The Apila table ware set was in production in the early seventies, and some pieces were also later produced at Arabia. Pieces of this very nice Cloverleaf decorated series are very sought for.
In the last pictures you see these items together with other items of this series.
We have four cups of which A and B are fairly good vintage pieces, with one or two small staining issues at the upper border (see pictures). And C and D having a little more signs of high age with staining and some issues on the outside bottom ring. D is also having some staining on the inside of the cup at points where the enamel has some fissures. Because of varying condition, each cup has its own price.
You can follow each cup through the presentation because they are named A,B, C and D in the pictures. When you click on one of the letters under the heading, a picture of that item is appearing uppermost and its price is shown under the heading. Now that particular item can be added to the cart.
A 17cm diameter plate in very good vintage condition is included in the price. Plates are also sold separately on this webbsite.
