Blue Scaup Duck is the Annual bird for year 2004 and this is her Egg. The Egg is hand blown in Nuutajärvi, the legendary glass blower village in Finland.
The egg is of yellow/light amber glass of the same kind as the bird and is decorated with a blue line with blue dots along it, in a color that correspond to the blue on the bird's wing.
This model is described on page 128 in the book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glass Birds".
