The annual bird for year 2001 was the Golden Dove with handsome golden color and a red beak. Kultakyyhky in Finnish. This individual is said to be among the first ones made of this model as it has a lot of small "soda bubbles" inside the glass. Design by famous professor Oiva Toikka and hand made in Nuutajärvi Finland.
It is described on page 91 in the book "Birds by Toikka", and also on page 91 in the book "In Oiva's Wonderland" and on page 107 in the new book "Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glass Birds".
