This is a beautiful Rio Brown 95mm Aalto Vase.
The Aalto vase designed by famous architect Alvar Aalto is an icon of Finnish design. The first versions of it was presented in 1936 and these got much attention at the Paris World Fair in 1937. Since then the Aalto vase, in many different sizes and color versions, has conquered the hearts of many generations world wide. The elegantly folding glass is a perfect example of Alvar Aalto's free flowing imagination.
The vases are still today mouth blown into a mold at the Iittala glass factory in Finland. The production of one vase goes through 12 work stages, and every single Aalto vase is hand made.
The overall impression of this item is very good with only very minor signs of use that are not easily noticed.
