A stunning art glass piece from 1959, model KF 239 design by Kaj Franck! The KF239 was made of ruby red, greenish olive/smoke and clear glass in sommerso technique 1956-1964.
Kaj Franck created for Nuutajärvi a long line of beautiful glassware, both art glass and utility glass of which most are collector's items today. He emphasized the beauty of simple harmonic proportional forming, and liked to use colors.
His creations are beautiful in their pureness and are lacking unnecessary decorations.
