This bird was designed by Oiva Toikka for the Insurance company Teollisuusvakuutus in 1990 to celebrate their 100th Anniversary 1890-1990. A lustered Anniversary bird from the good old times.
This bird was hand made in legendary Nuutajärvi glass factory in Finland.
This one is dark blue-green with a lot of luster and a nice filigree pattern. The head is of clear blue glass, that is only slightly lustered, so the blue shows nicely when light hits it. The beak is orange.
